COPSII & MSMA Announce
2nd Annual Magazine Street Blues Festival

June 25, 2010 • 11:33 am

The 2nd District Police and COPS II (Citizens Organization for Police Support 2nd District) are pleased to announce the Second Annual Magazine Street Blue’s Festival.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 9, and Sunday, October 10, 2010. Last year’s one-day festival was such a success that we are extending it to 2 days this year. The Festival will be held where Napoleon and Magazine meet (next to the precinct house).

Please extend this notice to all members and encourage them to take part in the Second District Second Line that we hope to begin the festival with on Saturday at noon from Valence Street to Laurence Square. Besides the second line, the event will feature food booths from restaurants and caterers from throughout the District; libations from fully stocked bars and beer sponsors; arts from our local talented artists; a kids’ area; and a silent auction.

But, with all this said – WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are in need of sponsorship money to assist in the setup costs of this event. So, we ask you – do you want to be a part of the positive future of our district and city? No amount of donation is too small to make our goal of $25,000. This represents our fixed costs so that all funds raised will begin the 2nd District endowment.
