New Orleans premiere annual arts event, Art for Art’s Sake, will be held on October 2nd, 2010.
Magazine Street features prominently in this year’s activities. There will be shuttle buses running on Magazine. There are will be many gallery openings, and most shops on the street will be open with special hours, special items, and great promotions for the occasion.

Getting to Magazine Street
Magazine Street is bike and pedestrian friendly. But, did you know that it is also served by city busses? Bus passes are available for shopping convenience. The following passes can be purchased at locations around New Orleans:
- 1-day VisiTour pass* ($5.00) Available for the current day on all buses and streetcars. Purchased through farebox on buses and streetcars.
- 3-day VisiTour pass ($12.00) Available for 3 consecutive days of riding all streetcars and buses.
- 5-day VisiTour pass ($20.00) Available for 5 consecutive days of riding all streetcars and buses.
* Note:You can get on and off the busses as often as you like with a 1-Day pass.

Parking Meter Hours: Monday - Saturday from 8am -6pm
Parking Meter Rates: Regular 2 Hour Meters: $1.50/hour Long-Term Meters – Up to 10 Hours: $1.00/hour
Note: Not all of Magazine Street has parking meters. If you park on side streets, make sure you are 20ft. from the corner.
